Feedback Unit 6

Feedback Unit 6 Hello Zeba, I just wanted to say that I enjoyed your Weebly submission for the Complementary Medicine assignment. Your group made clear the differences between male and female children and their experience and prevalence of anxiety. I was also encouraged that you were able to find so many videos and infographics on yoga specific to children. As a child of the late 60s-70s, I was exposed to yoga through my mother and feel that this practice is undersold in the childhood demographic, not only as it relates to management of anxiety, but childhood development generally. I think a main heading indicating this section of your website is about complementary medicine for women and then introduce yoga and anxiety may be a more in keeping with the assignment requirement. In the interest of accuracy, you open with the thought that anxiety is a “coping mechanism”. I believe it is more of a symptom response to situations, both acute and chronic, that require coping mecha...

Hello Zeba, I am writing to say congratulations on the remarkable work you and your team have done to shed light on the efficacy of yoga as a complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) for young girls struggling with anxiety. Your blog post stood out to me for its unique use of color and layout, which were tastefully done without overwhelming the reader. The headings and subheadings were also very helpful in providing context and coherence to your discussion. Moreover, I was impressed by your attention to detail, as there were no grammatical errors, and the information was backed up with references using APA style. The detailed explanations accompanying the videos were also greatly appreciated, as they offered viewers a clear preview of the content. All these aspects combined resulted in a well-crafted and informative piece of content. The information provided reflects the importance and promotion of yoga in childhood as a CAM. It will inspire many other practitioners to ex...

Blog review: Conventional Medicine in Children

Blog review: Conventional Medicine in Children This blog was very interesting to me as I had never heard of Turner Syndrome before. It was very informative and was very specific in how it affects female children, specifically. This review had all the elements such as the description of what Turner syndrome is as well as detailed information about growth hormone therapy. It was interesting to learn that hormone therapy can have several negative side of effects and disadvantages for this population, one being the slipping of the capital femoral epiphysis. All of the heading in this blog were added appropriately and the blog was organized in a way that was easy to read and clear. I did not spot any grammatical errors and the paragraphs were cohesive. I thought it was great how this group added pictures of how a child with Turner syndrome may look, and unique characteristics that could set them apart. The videos were appropriate for the topic and they also had a description und...
